Issues with vaccination status are piling up as boosters are showing as “dose 1 of 2” for those who have received both doses in the EU or another part of the UK. We urgently need action from the Scot Gov to make sure the vaccine app meets people’s real life circumstances.
We have deep-seated inequalities in our communities that must be addressed with targeted action, not empty statements. We must make training available, invest in Skills Development budgets, provide accessible and affordable childcare to parents and support women in the community.
I’ve met with people. who were forced to rough sleep simply because they didn’t want to give up their dogs. We need policies that reflect the importance of dogs in people’s lives, including enforcing animal welfare legislation and increasing the number of dog-friendly hostels.
Yesterday’s Scot Gov debate saw agreement across the chamber to support our coastal communities & fishing industries, whilst we incentivise change towards sustainable fishing practices benefiting local ecosystems & economy. Now is the time for action, not words #COP26
